Conrad Sanderson has been chosen for his Armadillo library.
Armadillo is an open-source matlab replacement library with 83,000+ lines of code for numerical computation. Built by Conrad to support his earlier work in Computer Vision, it has become one of NICTA’s unsung successes. During 2014, the Armadillo library has had large world wide impact. It was downloaded 150,000+ times worldwide. It is used by companies including NICTA, NASA, Boeing, Franhofer, Siemens, Deutsche Bank, Los Alamos National Labs, Intel, HP, Google, and universities MIT, CMU, Stanford, Harvard, Oxford, Cornell and Georgia Tech.
