Street
The Street initiative is tackling fundamental research challenges in the areas of ubiquitous computing, human-computer interaction and sensor networks, and applying the outcomes to urban computing environments. In brief, the vision for Street is to allow people to "program their city". This research will provide significant benefits to emergency services, public transport, city councils, urban planners and consumers.
Street is currently in the planning phase, with a view to launching as a full project in early 2010.
