The intended outcome of PhD research will be aligned with this vision, produce scholarship and solve real-world problems. Interested prospective PhD candidates with strong theoretical background in computer vision, pattern recognition and signal processing are encouraged to send their Curriculum Vitae, Transcripts and one recent publication (if applicable) to safe_as -at- nicta.com.au to enquire about available PhD positions.Financial support
NICTA provides generous top ups for scholarship holders. However, full financial support is not guaranteed; Candidates with exceptional academic or industrial track record will be assisted to secure external financial support.PhD project topics are including (but not limited to):
- Image Segmentation and labeling
- Unconstrained Face Recognition
- Human behaviour analysis
- Distributed processing for Surveillance applications
- Implementing and optimizing Computer vision algorithms on Multi-core hardware
