Fraunhofer Project Centre on Transport and Logistics

The Fraunhofer Project Centre for Transport and Logistics at NICTA is a strategic collaboration between Fraunhofer IESE and NICTA.  The Project Centre provides industry with access to research expertise and technical competencies from both NICTA and Fraunhofer.

A major activity of the Project Centre is the Future Logistics Living Lab, which was established in conjunction with SAP Research and opened in February 2011.  The Living Lab is a network of companies driving innovation in the logistics industry, and is also a physical space for demonstration and evaluation of innovative technologies.

Other collaborative research projects in the Project Centre are being defined and will shortly be announced.

The Project Centre proceeds under a five year agreement that was announced at CEBIT in March 2010, resides within NICTA's Infrastructure Transport and Logistics business area, and is supported by a grant from the NSW Government.
