Research Topics
The research activities of the group focuses on three areas that are fundamental for the provision of ubiquitous access to information in next-generation networks, namely Information Discovery and Dissemination Mechanisms, Privacy and Trust, and Management of Connectivity.
An experiment-based validation will be used for the development of the new methods, mechanisms and theories in each of the areas. Central to the experiment-based validation will be the NICTA, cOntrol Management Framework (OMF), and the existing NICTA test-bed activities, pilots and experiments. The test-bed activities, pilots and experiments are being developed in collaboration with the NICTA Business Teams and forming partnerships with commercial and Government organisations. This is schematically shown below, and links to the description of the research activities.
