NICTA's research is making a big impact on plant and animal bio-security, effective water management and land management.
The effective management of water resources and its use in farms, industry and urban environments is an important challenge. NICTA researchers are working in partnership with water management agencies to develop and trial new control systems and sensor network technologies.
In collaboration with the CRC for Plant Bio-security, NICTA researchers are also applying their expertise in imaging spectroscopy to automatically identify plant diseases and dangerous pests in the field.
