The inaugural RADAR WEEK, September 8–12, 2008, will follow the 2008 International Conference on Radar in Adelaide, South Australia.

Choose from a series of 2-day short courses presented by international experts and/or a field trip to explore HF Surface Wave Radar.

Courses will be held in the Conference Centre, Technology Park Adelaide, Mawson Lakes, South Australia.

If enrolling in two courses during Radar Week a 20% discount will be given.

About Field Trip To Visit Radar

A number of environmental issues have arisen at the Kangaroo Island HFSWR site so the radar will be deployed instead to Cape Spencer on Yorke Peninsula.  We expect it to be operational in this location before the commencement of Radar 2008.  NICTA has therefore changed the field trip to visit this HFSWR site from Kangaroo Island to the Yorke Peninsula.  Transport, morning tea and lunch are inclusive in the cost of the visit.  

The trip will begin from Adelaide City at 8 am (exact pick up site to be advised).  It is expected that the coach will arrive back to Adelaide City at approximately 9 pm.    

We hope that you will still join us for this visit, however, please let us know if you decide to withdraw from your booking.  No charges have yet been processed.

Cancellation Policy

At least four weeks notice is required for cancellation of a place in a short course for full reimbursement. If cancellation is later than 4 weeks then the place can either be given to another person or the registrant can be provided with a credit towards other NICTA training.
