I am a senior researcher with National ICT Australia, based at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney. NICTA is Australia’s centre of excellence for Information and Communications Technology R&D. I also hold conjoint positions at School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales and School of IT, University of Sydney. I teach software architecture courses and supervise PhD students at both universities. My research interests include:
- software architecture in enterprise systems and embedded systems
- software ecosystem and Ultra-Large-Scale systems
- service/cloud engineering especially RESTful services
- Model Driven Development(MDD)
- business process management
- system and software development processes and methodologies
- empirical methods in software engineering
I am a research leader in the Software Systems Research Group(SSRG) and involved in the Business Adaptation and Interoperation Project and the Trustworthy Embedded Systems Project.
I was a project leader within the Green Transportation and Green Car Initiative. I was a work package leader in the LIXI Business Process Project and the Adaptive Middleware Project, which have been completed.
