Researcher
I am a researcher in the Managing Complexity Research Group at NICTA. I have a PhD in computer science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim Norway. My PhD involved the design and development of an ontology alignment visualization tool (AlViz) and a theoretical framework for understanding ontology alignment quality. Currently I am working on industry based projects using semantic technologies such as RDF/S and OWL for supporting organisational interoperability.
I also hold a Masters of Business Studies with Distinction in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Business Studies with First Class Honours in Information Systems from Massey University, New Zealand.
Industry Experience:
During 1994 to 1998 I worked in the IT industry as a programmer and as a consultant. I developed a range of consulting skills through working for CDP, Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Telecom Mobile New Zealand.
Ontology Alignment and Visualization Workshop:
Together with Monika Lanzenberger I co-chair the IEEE International Ontology Alignment and Visualization workshop (OnAV). The next OnAV workshop will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, March 16 - 19, 2009.
