Joachim Gudmundsson is a principal researcher at National ICT Australia in Sydney and the project leader of the DMiST-project.

Former member of the algorithms group at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computing Science in Eindhoven, the Geometry, Imaging, and Virtual Environments group at the department of Information and Computing Sciences in Utrecht and the Geometry Lab at the Department of Computer Science in Lund.

 I have, or have had, four great PhD students:
- Mattias Andersson at Lund University (finished 2007),
- Mohammad Farshi at TU Eindhoven (finished 2008),
- Damian Merrick at University of Sydney (finished (2007) and
- Bojan Djordjevic at University of Sydney (started 2007).
