NICTA’s Meet the Founder Series
About The Series
Innovation makes an important contribution to economic growth and social prosperity and governments around the world promote policies to develop an environment supportive of innovation. However, it is sometimes easily forgotten companies innovate, not countries. Studies suggest that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are a key source of new ideas, innovation and growth of output, employment and exports. This has also been acknowledged by the Australian Government:
"It is important that we back our technology-based Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's) and grow them into sustainable businesses linked to global markets so that they can contribute to an increase in Australia's GDP per capita and wealth creation potential in the knowledge economy."

Come and meet founders who have started technology companies, listen to their story and be inspired by their achievements. Learn the secrets of their success.
The Meet The Founder Series is intended to:

disseminate a wider understanding of the role played by Australian entrepreneurs in the development of knowledge-based companies and their contribution to Australia's economic future;

illustrate the alternative pathways entrepreneurs pursue in taking an idea to market;

showcase and celebrate Australian entrepreneurial success stories; and
-
contribute to fostering a more entrepreneurial culture in Australia.
The Meet the Founder Series events are free. Come and be inspired!
