Samaneh Movassaghi and Sara Khalifa win the best poster awards at iToF 2015

MSRG PhD students have won 2 best poster prizes  at the “7th IEEE Technologies of the Future (iToF 2015)” Competition and Exhibition organized by the IEEE UNSW Student Chapter at UNSW held on 29th of October 2015 (http://cgi.cse.unsw.edu.au/~ieee/itof2015/).  The event was open for students from all universities across NSW.

Samaneh Movassaghi and Arash Shaghaghi won the 1st prize for a technical project and poster demonstration in the “Networking, Cloud Computing & security” category for their work on “Self-charging, self-organising, self-less – Wearables”. Samaneh’s work is supervised by David Smith.

Sara Khalifa won the 1st prize for a technical project and poster demonstration in the “Signal processing, imaging, and embedded systems” category for her work on “Enabling Battery-less Wearables: Tracking Activities from Body’s Kinetic Energy”. Sara’s work is supervised by Mahbub Hassan and Aruna Seneviratne.
