Paper by Suranga Seneviratne accepted to WWW2015

The paper “Early detection of Spam Mobile Apps” co-authored by NICTA PhD student Suranga Seneviratne and researchers from MSRG – Aruna Seneviratne, Mohamed Ali (Dali) Kaafar, Anirban Mahanti in collaboration with UC-Davis Professor Prasant Mohpatra has been accepted in the premier venue for Web research, World Wide Web Conference Series (WWW 2015).

The paper tackling a novel and very challenging problem of detecting and preventing malware and security risks in the mobile eco-system has been selected with excellent feedback from the highly rigorous and competitive selection process of WWW (only 131 papers accepted out of 929 papers reviewed, 14% acceptance rate).
