Congratulations to Brad Yu (NICTA CRL/ANU) for receiving an 2015 Endeavour Executive Award. There were 34 successful Australian applications in this category, of which 3 are for going to China for exchange; 2 of these 3 are for going to Peking University (PKU).
The Endeavour Executive Fellowship provides financial support towards professional development opportunities (1-4 months) for high achievers in business, industry, education or government for non-Australians and Australians.
The Endeavour Executive Fellowship focuses on learning and building skills and knowledge through a host work environment in the applicant’s field or area of expertise rather than through formal enrolment in a study programme and are not suitable for academic research proposals. Professional development activities could include management training, peer-to-peer learning, mentoring, short courses and developing leadership skills.
This is one of the most senior Endeavour Award category. Brad Yu will be seconded at PKU College of Engineering as a shadow/acting assistant dean, to develop further links between the two colleges as well as to improve his experience and skills as an executive, and also allow him to work with the strong research team in PKU in the area of networked control theories. The duration is 4 months with a monetary funding support.
