AREMI users welcome publication of the latest electricity datasets

Published on July 10, 2015

Recent feedback from AREMI users indicates the positive impact made by the publication of latest electricity datasets.

AREMI now displays information about power station locations, near real time electricity generation on the NEM, transmission lines and distance to transmission lines, live PV generation by State, generation from small scale PV installations and results of the ‘Breaking the Solar Gridlock’ project. AREMI overall photo

Visualisation of all these datasets was possible thanks to collaborations with Geoscience Australia, Australian Electricity Market Operator (AEMO), Australian Photovoltaic Institute (APVI),Clean Energy Regulator (CER) and the Univesrity of Technology Sydney’s Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF).

Integration of electricity infrastructure data will continue throughout the project, with more data from GA, CER, AEMO, APVI and the ISF’s latest project ‘Network Opportunities Mapping’ to be displayed.
