National ICT Australia (NICTA) and Telstra today announced an agreement that would offer up to 21 internships for NICTA-endorsed PhD students in the information and communications technology (ICT) field.

Australia came one step closer today to a mouse-free future when a research facility called the Visual Information Access Room (VIAR) was launched by National ICT Australia (NICTA).

The facility at NICTA’s Australian Technology Park laboratory in Sydney looks like a futuristic office, but is in fact a test facility where high-tech ways to handle complex data quickly and efficiently will become reality.

Epicorp announced today that National ICT Australia Ltd (NICTA), Australia’s pre-eminent research centre of excellence in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), has become a sponsor member of Epicorp Ltd.

According to Epicorp, their experience in incubation and seed funding and NICTA’s strong policy of linking with organisations that have complementary skill sets, facilitated the establishment of the formal relationship.

An international line up of speakers was announced today for ICT Outlook Forum 2004. Dr Stephen Giugni of CSIRO, chair of the Forum organising committee, today announced that ICT Outlook Forum has once again been able to attract speakers from across the globe as well as Australian industry and research leaders who will challenge and inspire delegates.
