Canberra Research Laboratory's TechNET 2010 provided an opportunity to meet leading researchers and students from Australia's largest ICT Research Centre of Excellence.

Demonstrations of real world solutions developed at NICTA's Canberra Research Laboratory were on display and included:
- Innovative visual processing technology for the bionic eye
- Smart systems to measure and enhance athletic performance
- New tools for traffic management
- Artificial intelligence to optimise complex power grids
- Information technology for e-government.
