Dr Sorin Adrian Barbulescu, University of South Australia

Associate Professor Sorin Adrian Barbulescu has almost 20 years experience in the field of satellite communications. He received his PhD from the University of South Australia in 1996. Since then he has been working with the Institute for Telecommunications Research, University of South Australia, as a technical leader and project manager in projects applying the turbo coding technology in mobile and fixed satellite communications systems. He is currently the leader of the Engineering Projects Group (http://www.itr.unisa.edu.au/rd/epg/overview.html). He is also the Managing Director of Iterative Connections Pty Ltd, a South Australian company specialised in turbo coding technology (www.iterativeconnections.com).
